January Visit to Bethany

After rescheduling our January visit to Bethany because of snow, twenty-five Marian students accompanied by Mr. Flynn, Mr. Perrone, Mr. Herlihy, Mrs. Antonellis and Ms. Morteo arrived at Bethany Healthcare Center on Thursday, January 25th. The students entertained the residents by opening with “Baby It’s Cold Outside” (and it really was) sung by Aidan Scamby and Katherine Wettengel. Other students who performed were Ryan Gasparro, Ryan Lazarus, Stephanie Monteiro and Maeve Walsh. Mr. Herlihy provided the residents with a musical medley from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!”. The students then distributed the handkerchiefs we had brought them and served the attendees ice cream cake and punch. They sang “Happy Birthday” to those celebrating January birthdays – the eldest being 99 years old.

Once again, the residents were delighted to see the Marian students and voiced their thanks for the visit, the entertainment and the gifts. Next stop Valentine’s Day!!!
