Marian Math Team Wins Big

The Marian High math team competed at home this past Thursday and took advantage of the friendly environment to score a major victory over rivals Arlington Catholic and Bedford.  Marian scored 110 points versus AC’s 76 and Bedford’s 92.  The 24 Marian scored in round 1 was more than two schools scored in total.  Sophomore Howard Wang led the way with 14 points, while juniors Lilo Wu and Ruochen Liang, along with senior Cecilia Gai chipped in 12 each.  Seniors Sherry Liu, Claude Lin and Billy Zhang contributed 10 points each along with sophomore Ophelia Xiao.  Sophomores Yidi Wu and Tony He also scored.

Marian is ninth out of forty-two schools and continues to be first among small schools and first among Catholic schools.

Way to go math team!
