Dean of Students for the Day & Principal for the Day
What High School student would not want the honor of being Principal or Dean of Students for the day in their school? Well for Maeve Walsh and Christian Dardompre that is exactly what happened. As part of our Christmas Card lottery campaign, one of the daily prizes for students the opportunity to be Dean of Student for the day and Principal for the Day and their names were the lucky ones that were drawn.
On Tuesday, January 12th, Christian Dardompre ’17 arrived at school bright and early to welcome the students as they came into the main entrance as Dean of Students watching carefully for any dress code violations. During the day, Christian walked the halls, visited classrooms, monitored lunch, made afternoon announcements and attended important meetings.  He worked with Mr. Ermilio on a proclamation for the school to honor his day as Dean of Students. He choose to create a day to celebrate diversity. Christian and Mr. Ermilio are working on the details of what the day will entail. Finally, Christian was given a Dean of Students for the Day award. Congratulations Christian, you did a great job!
On Thursday, January 14th, Maeve Walsh ’18 started her day as Principal for the Day by doing morning announcements. During her day as Principal, Maeve proctored lunches, walked the halls as well as prepared emails to alumni and board members, attended meetings with Admissions, Advancement, and Facilities and visited with Chairperson of the Board, Elizabeth Dill ’77, P’12, P’13, P’14. During this visit with Ms. Dill, Maeve received an award honoring her as Principal of the Day. Finally, Maeve gave the afternoon announcements and declared Friday January 20, 2017 as a dress down day for the school. Great work as Principal Maeve, we are so proud of you!
