Open House at Marian
It’s that time of year again! The time of year where eager and excited 8th graders visit high schools trying to get as much information as they can about the application process, the entrance exam and the school’s mission and culture. Prospective students and their families flock to open houses to catch a glimpse of what’s to come and decide which school is the best place for them to spend the next four years of their lives. High school is such an important time: academics, sports, extracurricular activities, friends, dances, football games, and community service; but moreover, it’s where life lessons are learned and lasting bonds are made.
The Marian open house sets out to show what it takes to be a Mustang and the sixty years of history behind its success. Current faculty show and talk about what it means to be a member of the Marian community, current parents talk about why they chose to send their children here, and current students talk about what it is to walk the halls of Marian on a daily basis. This event showcases the best of Marian: togetherness, teamwork, leadership, excellence and achievement. Marian is about hard work, a positive attitude, a willingness to help others, and a commitment to bettering oneself and the world around them. When it comes down to choosing a high school, Marian is a first class institution that fosters the development of each individual, cherishes diversity, and teaches each individual to be accountable and respectful.
As we start the next admissions cycle, we can’t wait to meet the members of the Class of 2021!
Join us for our next Open House on Sunday November 13, 2016 from 12-2pm!
