Fall Sports Head into the Halfway Point

Hello Marian Mustangs!  I hope that everyone is now into the swing of things since we are now in October.  Fall sports here at Marian are at the halfway point and the teams are all making great progress.  A lot of great competition still to be had and I hope that you can make a game or two before it is too late.  October 14th is a big deal at Marian this year because it is our Homecoming Football game.  It is such a fun night for all but especially for the fall senior athletes.  At halftime of the football game they are all honored along with parents or family members attending with the student-athletes.  Our Marian Mustangs are called out on to the field to be recognized for all their hard work and dedication.  We couldn’t be more proud!  Teams that will be in attendance are football, cheerleading, golf, girls soccer, boys soccer, cross country, and volleyball.  I personally invite you to come and show your support for the athletes and also your support for the football team as they take on St. Clement at 7pm at Framingham State University stadium.

On a different note I wanted to share my thoughts on being a part of the Marian Mustang Family.  It comes to me as no surprise that being a part of a team is such a rewarding experience.  The friends you make, the relationships you build, and the respect you foster for each other as individuals is amazing.  I have truly felt that here at Marian.  This being my second year as Athletic Director, I feel that I have made some great connections with the students and have really tried to learn more about them and their goals and aspirations.  Marian is a unique school.  It is small enough to have that opportunity to connect with everyone but yet it feels lively and fun like there are 1000 kids running through the hallway.  I can only imagine that year 2 for me as Athletic Director will be just as rewarding, if not more.  If you see me at a game (which I am at pretty much every home game!) please come talk to me!  I would love the opportunity to get to know each and every one of you better.
