Class of ‘61 Alumni Tour
Most students don’t like the idea of giving up part of their weekend to come into school. I used to be one of them, until I started volunteering to be a tour guide at the Marian reunions. Listening to the stories of those who came before us is not only intriguing, but it puts a smile on my face as I learn that there used to be a candy shop by the art room and students were able to fit in the tiny lockers outside of the cafeteria. The adults came alive as we walked down the halls and it was like they became high school students again, you could see it in their faces. The ‘61 graduates were especially close, 30 strong this past weekend. They told some amazing stories about their four years in the building and I can only hope that the class of 2017 will be able to share ours when we come back for our reunions.
