Marian Golf Classic 2016

The weather was perfect, the energy was electrifying, and the generosity was over the top. Over 80 golfers attended the 2016 Marian High School Golf Classic on Monday September 12, 2016 at the Marlborough Country Club. The golfers that attended were alumni, friends of Marian, parents of current students and many others, all who joined together to support the mission of Marian High School.

After 18 holes, entering the beautiful banquet room with the silent auction tables overflowing with prizes from sports memorabilia, to gift certificates to some of our fine local restaurants, the bidding began. As all of our golfers took their seats, they enjoyed a scrumptious buffet style luncheon provided by the Marlborough Country Club!

Congratulations to the our First place team Mike Garvey ’81, Bo Murphy ’81, John O’Reilly ’81, and Tom Fandel ’81. The Longest drive was won by Jack Kennedy & Michael Gore, and Closest to the pin was won by Dave Sparling & Paul George.

Success is measured by the lives you touch and what made Marian’s 2016 Golf Classic so successful is the incredible support and munificence displayed by our sponsors, the time and effort put forth by all of our volunteers, Marian parents, our Silent auction donors, and our many golfers. Each and every one of you has made a significant difference in the lives of our students. Thank you all for a very successful day and we cannot wait for next year!
