Orientation Day 2016
Great orientation day for Marian High School.  Welcome to the class of 2020, and our newest transfer students.  Welcome back to students, faculty & staff.  Everyone had fun with ice-breakers and the digital scavenger hunt this morning as our newest Mustangs got to know the building.  Kudos to our peer ministers for their work organizing and leading the prayer services.  Katherine from the class of 2019 said, “I’m excited to be back, I like it here.”  Sara, also from the class of 2019, said “My schedule is so tough this year.  I’m worried, I hope I make it through.  Oh, well, I asked for it.”  Then of course I spoke with several seniors, all of whom said summer wasn’t long enough and they’re worried about the college application process.  Fortunately, Mrs. Cavanaugh and Ms. Guido will be there to navigate them through their applications.
I’m looking forward to tomorrow, our first full day of classes.  It will be nice to get back into the routine of school.  I’m also excited to be celebrating Marian’s 60th year!!  We owe so much to those who came before us, from the Sisters of Saint Joseph to the graduates.  Marian’s rich tradition in the Metro-West along with our strong support from alumni and friends have us positioned for future prosperity.  Throughout this year you’ll hear stories from past and present Marian Mustangs!  Thank you to everyone for making today a successful start!
