Henry David Thoreau Scholarships:  Available to graduating seniors who willing be attending college and studying the field of environmental studies.  Information and application are online at www.thoreauscholar.org  DUE: February 1, 2014

Massachusetts Junior Chamber International Senate Scholarship:  Available to graduating seniors in Massachusetts.  Information and application is available online at http://majcisenate.weebly.com  DUE: January 11, 2014

NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award:  Graduating high school seniors who operate their own small business are eligible to receive a 2014 NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award from the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation.  Information and application available at www.NGIB.com/YEA DUE: December 18, 2013

The Christa McAuliffe Regional Charter Public School Scholarship:  Available to graduates of the charter school, a graduating senior, and if you are pursuing a degree beyond a high school diploma. DUE:  April 15, 2014

Hood Sportsmanship Scholarship:  Available for a senior who participated in a varsity sport and who will be furthering their education by attending a two or four year accredited college or university next year.  Students must have earned a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher and performed volunteer work in the community to be eligible. The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc: Available to students with financial need who display academic excellence, a commitment to serving others (in school, the community or at home), a strong work ethic, and leadership qualities. Information available at www.phillips-scholarship.org DUE:  Part one by April 15 and Part Two by May 1, 2014 at midnight

Grand Lodge OF MA Order Sons of Italy in America Charitable and Educational Trust: Available to students planning to attend a four-year, degree granting college (including vocational and/or technical) accredited by the State Board of Education of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  Information available at www.osiama.org DUE: February 1, 2014

Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce: Available to students who reside in Marlborough and Hudson.  Information available at http://www.marlboroughchamber.org/.  DUE: March 28, 2013

Yawkey Foundation Scholars Program:  Available to a graduating senior with a strong academic record planning to attend a competitibe private college in Massachusetts who are engaged in a meaningful mentoring relationship and who have unmet financial need and would benefit from scholarship support so they can graduate witha manageable loan burden. It provides a four-year renewable tuition scholarship and other supports to help students achieve academically and go on to be successful and highly productive members of the community.  Information available at: www.tpi.org    DUE: February 15, 2014

Christian A. Herter Memorial Scholarship:  provides financial assistance to Commonwealth of Massachusetts students who demonstrate academic promise and aspirations to higher education.  The scholarship is available to students who have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate difficult personal circumstances, high financial need, and strong academic promise to continue his or her education beyond high school at a college or university.  Information available at: www.osfa.mass.edu    DUE: February 3, 2014

Congress-Bundestag Vocational Youth Exchange Scholarship:  for applicants from all economic, ethnic, religious, and social backgrounds.    Information available at www.nacelopendoor.org (click on the CBYX Vocational Scholarship picture to download an application.  DUE: January 31, 2014.

Massachusetts Broadcasters Association Student Broadcaster Scholarship Program: available to MASS residents, who will plan to enroll at an accredited two or four-year school with a major or intention of studying over-the-air broadcasting.  Attending a school in MASS is not required.  For additional information, visit www.massbroadcasters.org DUE: March 28, 2014.

Framingham Girls Fastpitch Scholarship: for girls who play in the Framingham Fastpitch League.  Must have played in the league for two or more full seasons to be eligible.  DUE: April 1, 2014.

Vietnamese American Dreams Scholarship: Available to Vietnamese American students.  Email newenglandivsa@gmail.com for additional information.  DUE: March 5, 2014. 

Anthony J. Sannicandro Scholarship:  Available to all students interested in furthering his/her education.  Contact the Brophy School at (508) 626-9158 for additional information.  DUE: May 5, 2014.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Merit Scholarship:  Available to two deserving High School Seniors.  Must have a GPA of 2.8 or better to apply.  Information available at www.deltasigmatheta.org.  DUE: March 1, 2014.

Hopkinton Area Land Trust Scholarship: Available to Hopkinton residents who are interested in pursuing careers in conservation, ecology, natural resoources/wildlife management, water conservation and resources, or the environmental sciences.  Information available at www.hopkintonlandtrust.org. DUE: April 4, 2014

New England Counselors of Color Bridging Access to College Scholarship: Available to students of color, graduating from a New England high school, and who will be enrolling full-time in a NECBAC member institution.  Information available at www.NECBAC.org. DUE: May 15, 2014.

Framingham United Soccer Club Scholarship: Available to Framingham residents of six years or more and have been active members of the Soccer Club.  Information available at www.fusc.org or Email: secretary@fusc.org. DUE: April 25, 2014

Fairs 'N' Squares Dance Club Scholarship: Available to Framingham residents. Information available at www.fairsnssquares.com/scholarship DUE: March 15, 2014

Southborough Gardens Scholarship:  Available to accepts students of higher education or who is presently attending college in one of the following fields: Art, Sciences related to Horticulture, Floral Design, Environmental Studies, Ecology, Conservation, Agriculture, Botany, or Landscape Architecture/Design.  Students must have lived in Southborough for at least two years and must demonstrate scholastic achievement and good citizenship.  DUE: April 18, 2014

Universal Technical Institute (UTI) Scholarship:  Available to students interested in attending UTI.  For additional information, visit www.uti.edu/mrw.  DUE: June 27, 2014.

Marlborough Rotary Club Scholarship:  Available to students who reside in Marlborough.  Scholarship focuses on both academic achievement and community service. The application and either a resume or brief essay about a subject of the student's choice is required.  Pick up an application in the Guidance Office.  DUE: April 15

MASSBAY Community College President's Scholars Scholarship:  Students who graduate in the top 10% of their high school class or who graduate with a 3.0 GPA or higher may attend the first two academic years at MASSBAY virtually cost free.  Schoalrship recipients may select an approved MassTransfer academic program when they enroll at MassBay.  This will give the student the combined benefit of a free college education for the first two academic years at MASSBAY as well as a guaranteed seamless transfer to the University of Massachusetts or to a Massachusetts State University.  Applications are available at www.massbay.edu/apply DUE: April 1, 2014.

Rosemary Gavin Educational Scholarship:  a $500 scholarship awarded to a senior who plans to attend a Public or Private College to study Nursing in the Fall of 2014.  DUE: May 31, 2014.

Saint Mary's Credit Union Scholarship:  Three $500 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors towards an accredited college or university.  Check with the Guidance Office for additional details.

Ken Nichols Memorial Scholarship:  Awarded to a deserving high school senior who resided in Millis and wishes to pursue a career in horticulture, agriculture, conservation, landscape design or architecture, arboriculture, botany, farming, forestry, environmental science, land management or a filed relating to preserving our natural world. Candidates need to have a B average overall with a B average in biology or botany courses.  Application should indicate some gardening/conservation experience, with references.  DUE: May 1, 2014.  Contact:  Joan Nichols, Scholarship Chairperson, Millis Garden Club, joan.nichols@sunlife.com

Framingham Youth Hockey Scholarship Program:  Awarded to seniors who have participated in the Framingham Youth Hockey Program for three seasons and plan to attend college in the fall.  DUE:  April 30, 2014.  Contact Joe McDonald at joemcd4@verizon.net with questions.

Medway Lions Club Community Service Scholarship: Awarded to seniors from Medway who are pursuing a post-secondary education.  Up to four $500 scholarships will be awarded.  While academic achievement is a consideration, greater weight is given to the applicant's contribution to the community as evidenced by volunteerism and community service activities.  An essay is required.  DUE: May 11, 2014
