Wednesday, March 30, 2013:  The Education Cooperative (TEC) will be holding their spring college fair at Westwood High School from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  Students and their parents are encouraged to attend.  This is a free, drop in event. 

College Visits

Colleges visit Marian to meet with interested students and share information about their school.  Students are encouraged to attend these visits.  Further information regarding college visits may be obtained in the Guidance Department.

There are no more college visits scheduled for the 2012 - 2013 school year.

If you are interested in applying for or would like more information regarding any of these Scholarships or would like more information please contact the Guidance Office at least one week prior to the due date of the scholarship.

The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund:  Available to graduating seniors with a financial need, a commitment to serving others in school, the community or at home, a strong work ethic, and leadership qualities.  Must be permanent resident of New England, will be attending a U.S. college or university, have a GPA of 3.0 or better.  More information can be found at www.phillips-scholarship.org  DUE May 1, 2013

Framingham Girls Fastpitch Scholarship:  Available to graduating seniors who played at least two or more full seasons for Framingham Girls Fastpitch Softball.  DUE April 1, 2013

Henry David Thoreau Scholarships:  Available to graduating seniors who willing be attending college and studying the field of environmental studies.  Information and application are online at www.thoreauscholar.org  DUE: February 1, 2013

Davidson Fellows Scholarships:  Available to seniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents who reside in the U.S., be 18 or younger as of September 29, 2013.  Applications and information can be found online at www.studentscholarships.org/scholarship.php DUE: February 6, 2013       

Grand Lodge of Massachusetts Order Sons of Italy in America Scholarship:  Must be a senior in high school who is going on to pursue his or her education in a recognized and accredited vocational or technical school.  DUE March 1, 2013

Massachusetts Restaurant Association Education Foundation:  Available to high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited restaurant or foodservice related, post-secondary program, either full-time or substantial part-time (minimum 9 credit hours), have U.S. citizenship and be a Massachusetts resident, have a minimum GPA or 2.65 on a 4.0 scale, and have a minimum of 250 hours of restaurant/foodservice work experience.  For more information and the applications go to www.marestaurantassoc.org  DUE April 19, 2013

Red Pine Scholarship:  Available to graduating seniors who are permanent residents of Massachusetts, will be attending a four year college or university in the fall, has a strong high school academic record, has a balance of community, school and work activities, and has financial need.  Applications and information can be found online at www.tpi.org/resources/red_pine_scholarship.aspx  DUE: February 22, 2013

Buick Achievers Scholarship:  Available to seniors who plan to enroll full time at a four year college or university in the fall of 2013 and plan to major in the a field of study that focuses on engineering, technology, design or business, with an interest in the automotive industry.  Applications and information can be found online at www.buickachievers.com  DUE: February 28, 2013

The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship:  Available to high school seniors from New England with a financial need who display academic excellence, a desire to help others, good character, a strong work ethic and leadership qualities.  This is a renewable four year scholarship.  Applications and information can be found online at www.phillips-scholarship.org  DUE: May 1, 2013

Best Buy Scholarship Program:  Available to students living in the U.S. and demonstrate good grades, commitment to community service and/or work experience.  Applications and information can be found online at http://pr.bby.com  DUE:  February 15, 2013

Anthony J. Sannicandro Scholarship:  Available to graduating seniors who attended Brophy Elementary School in Framingham for a minimum of three (3) year, not including kindergarten.  DUE:  May 1, 2013

Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are residents of Marlborough or Hudson.  DUE: March 22, 2013.

Esta Rita Scholarship:  Available to graduating Marian seniors who are Framingham residents and attended the Potter Road School in Framingham for elementary school.  DUE:  April 15, 2013

Hopkinton Area Land Trust Scholarship:  Available to High School seniors who are Hopkinton residents who are interested in pursuing careers in conservation or the environmental sciences.  More information can be found at www.hopkintonlandtrust.org  DUE:  April 5, 2013

Bill Collins Memorial Arts Scholarship:  Available to graduating seniors who are Framingham residents, currently attending a high school in Framingham, and seeking a higher education majoring in the arts.  DUE:  March 30, 2013

MetroWest Chamber of Commerce STEM Scholarship:  For seniors who are residents of the MetroWest area (Ashland, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Natick, Sherborn, Southborough, Sudbury, Wayland or Westborough) with a grade average of B or better who wish to continue their education with a focus on science, technology, engineering or math and a demonstrated financial need.  DUE March 4, 2013.

The Arcadius, Emma & Robert Lemieux Scholarship:  For seniors in public or private high schools in the MetroWest area who wish to continue their education beyond high school, but are unable to do so due to financial difficulties not of their own cause.  Must be a resident of either Ashland, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Natick, Sherborn, Southborough, Sudbury or Wayland.  Must be a senior with a grade average of C or better.  Must have demonstrated financial need and whose parent(s) or guardian(s) are willing to supply supporting documentation.  DUE March 4, 2013.

The Ashland Business Association Scholarship:  The ABA scholarship competition is open to any high school senior residing in Ashland, as long as he or she is graduating in 2013, and has been accepted to an accredited school for further education. This is a unique opportunity for graduating seniors, as they are not judged on GPA, class standing, or CEEB scores. The scholarship will be awarded to the student who best demonstrates good work ethics, motivation, creativity, and business/community interests.   Information and applications are available on the Ashland First website.   DUE April 26, 2013.

Town of Southborough Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are residents of Southborough and will be attending college next year.  This scholarship takes into consideration academics, financial need, extracurricular activities, work and volunteer experiences. as well as written expression.  DUE April 3, 2013

Carroll Harris Memorial Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are residents of Southborough and must have participated in gymnastics, or plan to major in physical education or recreation or have demonstrated active participation in a town recreation program.  DUE April 3, 2012

Capital Group Academic Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are residents of Southborough and will be attending college next year.  This scholarship takes into consideration academics, financial need, extracurricular activities, work and volunteer experiences. as well as written expression.  DUE April 3, 2013

Brendon Homes Academic Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are residents of Southborough and will be attending college next year.  This scholarship takes into consideration academics, financial need, extracurricular activities, work and volunteer experiences. as well as written expression.  DUE April 3, 2013

Kohl's Cares Scholarship Program:  Parents / a person over 21 years of age must nominate a student.  Nominations should describe how the Student has contributed to the community in a meaningful way by performing volunteer services that helped people who are NOT related to the Student. The primary volunteer activity must have occurred within the last 12 months (March 16, 2012 – March 15, 2013). Financial need or academic performance will not be considered in the review and selection of winners.  Information and forms are available on the Kohl's Care Scholarship Program website  DUE March 15, 2013.

John J. Lane Kiwanis Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are planning to continue their education at a four year degree granting college or university, who are residents of Natick.  This scholarship is based on grades, limited to the top 10% of the graduating class and on extracurricular activities.  DUE  April 1, 2013

Daniel J. Davis Kiwanis Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are planning to continue their education at a four year degree granting college or university, who are residents of Natick.  This scholarship is based on acceptance into an accredited musical degree program or entering study for the performing arts.  DUE  April 1, 2013

Arthur L. Proctor Kiwanis Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are planning to continue their education at a four year degree granting college or university, who are residents of Natick.  This scholarship is for students planning to major in medical science, such as pjarmacology, nursing and veterinary medicine.  DUE  April 1, 2013

Alan J. Williams Kiwanis Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are planning to continue their education at a four year degree granting college or university, who are residents of Natick.  This scholarship is for students planning to major in culinary arts or vocational trades.  DUE  April 1, 2013

Kenneth A. Shavor Kiwanis Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are planning to continue their education at a four year degree granting college or university, who are residents of Natick.  DUE  April 1, 2013

Southborough Garden Club Scholarship:  Available to a student who has been accepted to a school of higher education who will be studying one of the following fields:  Arts, Sciences related to Horticulture, Floral Design, Environmental Studies, Ecology, Consevation, Agriculture, Botany or Landscape Design. The candidate must be at least a two year resident of Southborough and must demonstrate scholastic achievement and good citizenship.  DUE  April 26, 2013

Ken Nichols Memorial Scholarship:  Available to a high school senior who resides in Millis and wishes to pursue a career in horticulture, agriculture, conservation, landscape design or architecture, aboriculture, botany, farming, forestry, environmental science, land management or a field relating to preserving our natural world.  Applicants should have a B average overall with a B average in biology or botany courses.  Information and applications are available online at www.millisgardenclub.org as well as in the Guidance Office.  DUE  May 1, 2013

Math Works Scholarship:  This scholarship, administered by the Town of Natick, is a four-year scholarship for Natick resident high school seniors who are committed to studying engineering, mathematics, science, or related programs at an accredited four-year college or university.  DUE  March 26, 2013

Charles Eliot ll Scholarship:  This schlarship, established by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, is available to seniors who are planning to further his/her education in a field such as land planning, development of our natural resources, and ecolgoy.  DUE  May 9, 2013

Ashland Lions Scholarship:  Available to Ashland residents who are high school seniors and will be attending college in the fall.  DUE May 1, 2013

Gilbraitti Scholarship:  Available to high school senior in Massachusetts who will be attending a college or university in the fall of 2013.  Applications can be found online at www.mortgagebrokersburnaby.com  DUE March 30, 2013

Youth Volunteer Scholarship:  Available to high school senior in Massachusetts who will be attending a college or university in the fall of 2013.  Student must have completed a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer work over the past two years and maintained a GPA of 3.5 or greater.  Applications can be found online at www.bbgcommunicationslux.com  DUE April 13, 2013.

Healthy Choices Scholarship:  Available to high school senior in Massachusetts who will be attending a college or university in the fall of 2013.   Applications can be found online at www.chiropractorkelowna.ca  DUE  April 30, 2013

Rogers Community Volunteer Scholarship:  Available to high school senior in Massachusetts who will be attending a college or university in the fall of 2013.  Must have contributed a minimum of 10 hours of non-paid, volunteer service within your community during the past 12 months and have maintained a GPA of 2.5 or greater.  Applications can be found online at www.whiterockdentists.com  DUE June 1, 2013

Sedary & Associates Scholarship:  Available to high school senior in Massachusetts who will be attending a college or university in the fall of 2013.   Applications can be found online at www.abbotsfordlawyers.ca  DUE June 15, 2013

Lift Parts Express Scholarship:  Available to high school senior in Massachusetts who will be attending a college or university in the fall of 2013.   Applications can be found online at www.forkliftpartsnewyork.com  DUE June 30, 2013

Health Professions Scholarship:  Available from the MetroWest Health Foundation for senior students who are a resident of a Metrowest town, have been accespted into an eligible nursing, medical, dental or allied health program at an accredited academic institution, and start the program within six months of the scholarship award date.  Applications can be found online at www.mwhealth.org  DUE  May 31, 2013

Natick Kiwanis Scholarship:  Available to high school senior who are residents of Natick and who will be attending a college or university in the fall of 2013.  DUE  April 15, 2013

Marlborough City Scholarship:  Available to high school seniors who are residents of Marlborough and are accepted to a college or university for the fall of 2013.  Consideration will be given to financial need, scholastic record, involvement in community work and extracurricular activities. DUE  April 25, 2013

Citizen Scholarship Foundation of Marlborough (CSF):  Available to high school seniors who are residents of Marlborough who will be attending a college or university in the fall.  Multiple scholarships are available.  DUE April 12, 2013.

Framingham United Soccer Club Scholarship:  Available to seniors who have lived in Framingham for six or more years.  Applicants must have been an active participant in FUSC for at least six sessions (need not be consecutive) either as a player or referee and will be attending an accredited two or four year college after graduation.  The scholarship committee seeks a well-rounded student to be a scholarship recipient.  Referees must have participated as licensed referees in the club for at least four seasons (need not be consecutive).  DUE April 21, 2013.

Framingham Youth Hockey Scholarship:  Available to seniors who have participated in the Framingham Youth Hockey Program for three season and plan on attending college in the fall.  DUE  April 30, 2013

Rosemary Gavin Educational Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are Catholic, and who will be attending a college or university in the fall to study Nursing.  DUE  May 1, 2013.

Holliston Firefighters' Mutual Relief Association Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are residents of Holliston, attending a college or university in the fall, and who exemplify volunteer spirit and community service.  DUE  May 10, 2013

Medway Lions Club Community Service Scholarship:  Available to seniors who are residents of Medway, and will be attending a college or university in the fall.  Consideration is given to the applicant's contribution to the community as evidenced by volunteerism and community service activities.  DUE  May 1, 2013

Price Chopper Scholarships - The Neil & Jane Golub Scholarship Award & The Lewis Golub Scholarship Award:  Available to graduating seniors planning to attend college as fully matriculated, first year students for the Fall 2013 semester.  DUE  May 31, 2013
